Jamie is a brand strategist and designer based in Nashville, TN. She founded Strange Salt in 2021 as a way to bring the creative powerhouses in her life together to create amazing things.
...or her second. Previously the owner of The Ruby Cookie, a Nashville-based cookie pop-up, Jamie has started several successful businesses and managed brands in the hospitality and tourism, consumer packaged goods, and coaching industries. She began her own brand practice in 2020 and has helped business owners increase revenue and brand reach. Before that, she was the Creative Brand Director at a local agency and the Creative Services Manager at Visit Franklin, TN. Jamie was named on Destination International's 30 Under 30. She graduated from Indiana University-Bloomington with a BS in Art Management and a focus in Studio Art. She's had the pleasure of speaking at several conferences like Destinations International and the Wyoming Governor's Conference on Tourism.
Like most creatives, Jamie loves to experiment and try new things. She's a skilled baker and loves cookies. She even made a Büche de Noel for the sole purpose of entertaining her Instagram followers, though eating the cake was a nice bonus, too. She owns a 12x18 Chandler & Price Printing Press and is currently getting it up and running so she can create art just for fun. She's also a trained rhythm spin instructor and avid Peloton rider.
Jamie takes her leisure time seriously. If she's not dabbling in a hobby during her time away from work, you can find her traveling the world (or at least the neighborhood). A spontaneous adventurer, she's even taken a surprise vacation with no idea where she was headed! She lives in East Nashville with her husband and two rescue pups.
